Basia aka Brandy's Story
June 27, 2003 - Basia aka Brandy was found in an urban NJ shelter. She could hardly walk because of previous mistreatment. Basia, now Brandy, was adopted by Lois in New Jersey.
"Everything is going great with Brandy. All her family and grandkids met her and just love her, she just loves the kids and is great with them.
She is very gentle and sweet with the kids. The youngest grandkid is 11 and very good with dogs. The rest are older 16,19, 22. Lois said she is amazed at how good Brandy is in the house. She has such good manners. She just wants to go out side every 5 minutes to look for those rabbits in the garden.
It was so funny, Lois went to Lancaster, Pa. for the weekend with her girlfriend, so her husband stayed home with Brandy. When she came home she found that Brandy had moved her doggie bed in their bedroom to the other side of the bed where her husband sleeps, so she'd be right next to him at nite. When Lois returned from her weekend trip she said "well !, SEE what happens when you go away" " now I have to win her back ". I thought that was so cute. Joe did too. She sure is treasured in their home, I just LOVE that !
Lois is going to take her to a canine massagest for sessions for her legs, I think she will love that. I had been taking her to the chiropractor. Lois may try both to see which helps the most."
