Gabby's Story
May 4, 2003 - Gabby (FKA Bekka) and siblings joined TRC when they were found homeless. While Momma was a rott, no one knows who daddy was, and momma wasn't talking. After surviving parvo, she was adopted today by the McMeekins from Maine. Congratulations to Gabby and her new family!
June 30, 2003 Update - "Gabby is great! She is such a good puppy,she came into our home and fit in like shes always been here.Shes doing great with house training,hasn't had an accident in awhile now. But I do keep my eye on her. She adores the kids as much as they love her I think she just can't give enough kisses to anyone.Sometimes she gets a little excited and jumps on people but we are working on that since shes not a little puppy by no means.We wonder if she has some jack rabbit in her she surely can jump from the floor right into your lap and always follows a great big kiss.My rottweiler Beau and Gabby get along so good they love to play sometimes Beau will let her know when hes had enough and she does stop and snuggles with him instead.Beau is teaching her manners also. After all hes the gentleman. Gabby also went for her first swim in the lake this week. She was a little hesitate at first.But as soon as she saw what fun the kids were having she dove and I mean dove right in. She puts her head under to find the frisbee and swims right back with it just to do it all over again.
She also will be started obedience soon. She already knows sit down and stay. I say she knows it but tries not to.She is so smart and picks things up quick. Well I could go on forever about her. Thank you TRC for our new found forever friend

December 20, 2003 Update - "Today is Dec 20th and Gabby has graduated from basic obedience,She did just great,and I am planning to take her to companion dog training hopefully in January,also they are started a doggy play group and where she just loves to play with other dogs it will be right up her alley. Thank again TRC (Congratulations Gabby!!)"
