Dogs by Intake Date | Dogs by Adoption Date | Home Diesel's Story June 1, 2003 - Diesel and his siblings, and his mom Majik were all living outside in northeastern MA. Along comes the local animal control officer, has the dogs signed over, and .... here comes TERROR! Diesel weighed in at over 16 lbs at 8 weeks. Today he was adopted by Barbara, Michael and their two rotties Karl & Panzer from Vermont. Barbara wrote immediately when they arrived home... "The reign of terror begins!!!!! Puppy is in his new forever home, after an uneventful trip to Vermont{well we dont count the puking!!}. He has taken up residence in South Ryegate. We decided to let him explore the great room while we prepared his supper, mistake number 1. He immediately grabbed one of my slippers and dragged it under the table to chew. Luckily he was being watched and the slipper was retrieved. Without hesitation he turned his attention to a large decorative rooster{real feathers} that lives in a corner of the fireplace when its not lit, he grabbed the hapless bird and dragged it half way across the room intending to get it under the table, where no doubt it would have been savaged, before I apprehended him. Apart from the loss of a few feathers, rooster was none the worst for wear!!! Panzer and Karl watched in horror these infractions of the rules, and were very smug when he was confined to his pen while we finally made everyone's supper. The little man ate as if it was his last meal!!! Then everyone went outside to go potty and play before bed. There was much shrieking when he was put in his pen for the night, but once he realized he was not alone,he settled down and went to sleep. His name is "Diesel" and he is totally fearless,he is already playing with Panzer, who he was tormenting when I left for work!!! I will send pictures and keep you all up to date.Thank you so very much for allowing us to adopt him. " |
