Daphne's Story
March 4, 2004 - Sometimes, success is defined in a different way. Daphne was deemed unadoptable by the membership of TRC. While she was easily managed, it was difficult to find a family who could respect her triggers and her safety was in jeopardy when someone let their guard down. Today Daphne was adopted by her foster moms, Dale & Michele. Her foster moms knew how to handle her and to manage her. She will be safe for the rest of her life. Daphne joins three other rottweilers, two little dogs and three kitties - all of whom she lives harmoniously with.
Daphne, CGC
If you are looking for a quiet girl who wants you to be her world, then Daphne is your girl! Daphne loves to play with other dogs and is socially acceptable with cats. Although Daphne is one of the sweetest girls, she has past issues and she has been dilagently working in TRC's Second Chance Training Program. Daphne lacks confidence when meeting new people, and takes her direction from other dogs or her handler - a handler that acts assured in new situations will make Daphne excel! Daphne backs off and hides in these instances and must be introduced properly to them. Through training she has started to learn that not only are people nice, but that we will take care of her. Daphne thrives on leadership and structure and will need to attend a beginner and intermediate obedience classes to continue becoming the girl we know she can be. On February 8, 2004, Daphne received her Canine Good Citizen certification - a huge step for Daphne! We are all very proud of Daphne! Kids over 15 for Daphne.
