Dogs by Intake Date | Dogs by Adoption Date | Home Shary's Story September 2, 2003 - Shary was adopted today by Barbara and Arnie of Massachusetts. Shary will be walking daily along the Cape Cod Canal with Barbara & Arnie. >>Shary's Bio: Shary I Her evaluating team discovered that Shary certainly has the personality and temperament to make her the perfect addition to any home. Thin at 81 pounds she will enjoy putting another 10 pounds on her frame. She is friendly with all dogs, either gender, any size. She is simply curious about cats, and will probably add them to her list of buddies. She is housebroken and houseworthy. She loves people and readily cuddles for petting. The only thing missing from her resume is a course in obedience. Motivated to please, Shary will shine at dog school. However, the true test of her stable Rottie temperament was her behavior at the vet's clinic while being treated for a painful infection in her rear leg. The day after her liberation from the shelter, she endured the manipulation and cleansing of her swollen leg with no complaint. She was grateful for the care she received, and kissed many new friends that day. This precocious pup rides very well in the car. Her intelligent gaze misses nothing as she lies comfortably . . .untethered and uncrated. . .on the back seat. Her fortunate "forever family" will be captivated by Shary's sheer joyfulness. In her short time on Earth, she has learned so much about life and has much to teach. September 5, 2003 Update - "When arnie (large 7yr old rottie)and i fell in love and adopted Shary we went to purchase her new crate at nearby store. I took her in to fit her to a crate, giving her a choice of style and even color. She immediately picked one..sold..once back on Cape Cod, we settled in and now remember the joy of having a young bouncy loving rottie in the family. It's only been three days ...she teases Arnie grabs the toys and throws them at him whereupon he roars and then lays on top of them. They have played tug a war and vie for the closest seat nxt to me, wherever I am. We love her to pieces...photos will certainly follow...thank you again...Barbara" ... And we're sure Arnie meant to sign this too, but he was busy laying on all the toys.
