 Holly's Story

November 26, 2003 - Holly's story is a success only because she was loved for a week before she died. Holly's chances of survival were slim, but she knew everyone loved her.

>>Holly's Bio:

There is no photo of Holly on this page for a reason. Holly was found on a rooftop on 87th in Manhattan last week. She weighed 35 lbs. (and should weigh 80#) Holly can not support her own weight, and is very sick. For the first week, she progressed well under a close veterinary eye, and had gotten to a point where she could hold her head up, and even sit & stand for a minute. Holly succumbed to what typically arrives with all CACC shelter dogs - kennel cough. However, Holly isn't strong enough to fight it on her own - and now is at Rowley Animal Hospital in Springfield where her veterinary costs are running in the thousands of dollars. With any luck, Holly only has pneumonia. It's possible however, that there are other severe medical issues as a result of her extreme malnutrition and previous creulty. Holly's got her own web page - because not everyone will be able to look at these photos. Please keep Holly in your thoughts and prayers throughout this holiday season. She needs every bit of help she can get.

11/27/03 - It is with much sadness that we announce that Holly went to the bridge. She went into cardiac arrest last night and could not be revived. Holly knew love for a week - probably more than she ever had in her past. God speed Holly.
